Identomat
Chief Legal Counsel
Natia Gvazava is Chief Legal Counsel at Identomat, where she is responsible for legal strategy, compliance, and building the legal function within a fast-evolving fintech and regtech environment. Her work focuses on supporting technology-driven solutions in a complex and constantly changing regulatory landscape, while ensuring alignment with both international and local requirements.
Her professional background is strongly shaped by her time in the public sector. For more than a decade, she led the legal department at the National Bank of Georgia, where she oversaw the regulator’s legal framework, advised senior management and the board, contributed to the development of regulatory acts, and worked closely with international organisations and supervised institutions. This experience gave her a clear understanding of how regulatory requirements are formed and applied in practice.
She later moved into the private sector, focusing on fintech projects. Over the years, she has held roles as Legal Director and Chief Legal Counsel in technology and investment companies, including Raizomat and Infinity VC, while also working on legal matters with Solvo Partners. In these roles, she built legal processes, supported product launches, and helped companies navigate regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions.
Earlier in her career, she worked in public service, focusing on international cooperation at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, and led the legal unit of the Financial Monitoring Service. Her experience also includes work with the International Committee of the Red Cross, where she was involved in the dissemination of international humanitarian law.
Today, Natia Gvazava works at the intersection of law, technology, and regulation, helping companies build sustainable legal frameworks and balance innovation with regulatory expectations.
