Mike Jefferson

Mike Jefferson is Vice President and Head of Corporate Orchestration at Volvo Group, where he is responsible for translating strategic priorities into structured execution across the company’s digital enterprise capabilities. In this role, he enables leadership teams to operate as strategic multipliers by advancing product-oriented operating models, strengthening leadership effectiveness, and driving operational excellence across the digital organization.

Prior to his current position, Mike served as VP Head of Business Operations for Digital Technology at Volvo Group, overseeing the business operations agenda for a technology organization of more than 3,000 employees. His responsibilities included strengthening strategic alignment, enhancing leadership effectiveness, and increasing the business impact of digital and technology initiatives. He also played a key role in organizational change management and the implementation of Volvo Group’s evolving digital operating model.

Mike brings more than 15 years of experience in digital transformation, organizational change, and business transformation across both private and public sectors. Throughout his career, he has led complex, large-scale transformation programs involving global teams, multiple stakeholder groups, and enterprise-wide technology initiatives. His work has focused on helping organizations adopt new operating models, improve execution capabilities, and build cultures that support continuous improvement and innovation.

Before joining Volvo Group, Mike held several leadership roles at HCL Technologies, including Global Manager of the Organizational Change Management team. During this period, he led and supervised major transformation programs for multinational organizations across manufacturing, telecommunications, retail, transportation, and consumer goods sectors. He was responsible for developing scalable change management frameworks and supporting global transformation initiatives affecting workforces ranging from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of employees.

Earlier in his career, Mike worked in consulting, business development, and technology-focused roles, while also contributing to research and education initiatives related to behavioural change and innovation. His academic background includes a Master’s degree in International Business from ESCP Business School, complemented by executive education in change leadership, business transformation, Lean Six Sigma, and digital transformation.

His areas of expertise include digital transformation, organizational design, change management, leadership development, operational excellence, and business model transformation. Mike is particularly focused on helping organizations harness technology, leadership, and culture to create sustainable business value and improve outcomes for both industry and society.
