Melikşah Baykal is a Senior Treasury Analyst at Hayat Finans in Istanbul, specializing in yield curve modelling, liquidity management, and balance sheet strategy. He combines quantitative modelling expertise with practical treasury insight to support data-driven decision-making in banking.
At Hayat Finans, he has developed Nelson–Siegel–Svensson yield curve models for TRY, USD, and EUR, integrated into ALCO scenario analyses and pricing discussions. He designed and implemented the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) framework, aligning yield curve outputs with balance sheet pricing and liquidity planning. Earlier roles include treasury positions at Renault Türkiye and Vakıf Katılım, where he gained experience in FX operations, liquidity forecasting, and risk management.
He also conducted research at the University of Tübingen in Germany, focusing on macro-financial modelling and quantitative methods, further strengthening his analytical foundation.
