Adriaan Bakker is a seasoned treasury and liquidity management professional with over a decade of experience at ING Bank. His career spans hands-on execution in cash and liquidity management to leadership in global process design and implementation of strategic initiatives.

As Treasury & Liquidity Management Lead, Adriaan oversees the development of innovative solutions enhancing ING’s operational resilience and efficiency. He currently focuses on global payments strategy, service contracting, and incident management across the wholesale banking domain.

A highlight of his career was his key role in securing Series A funding of USD 60 million for Fnality International, an initiative shaping the future of payments infrastructure for banks and corporates, fully backed by central bank funds. He was instrumental in building regulated distributed Financial Market Infrastructures (dFMIs) enabling instant settlement and greater transparency.

Throughout his tenure at ING, Adriaan has worked across London, Amsterdam, and Manila, successfully leading projects on liquidity centralization, FMI integration, and digital transformation. He is passionate about adopting new technologies and fostering operational excellence within global treasury operations.
