Aydyn Tairov has been part of the ADCB Islamic Bank Kazakhstan team since its establishment in 2010. As Board Member and Chief Financial Officer, he leads the financial and administrative divisions, chairs the Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO), and oversees interaction with regulatory and government authorities.
Before joining ADCB, Aydyn held senior executive roles — including CFO and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board — at leading financial institutions such as Demir Kazakhstan Bank, Citibank, and Nurbank, where he was responsible for finance, treasury, regulatory affairs, administration, and strategic management. He brings extensive leadership experience in financial management, accounting, treasury operations, and information technologies.
Aydyn Tairov is an active contributor to the development of Islamic finance in Kazakhstan, serving as a member of the National Bank’s Working Group on Islamic Finance and as one of the key experts and initiators of amendments to banking and tax legislation aimed at strengthening Islamic financial frameworks.
He graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and completed advanced training at the Durham Islamic Finance School (UK). Aydyn holds a Certified Professional Accountant qualification and has been awarded the Commemorative Medal of the National Bank of Kazakhstan in honor of the 20th anniversary of the national currency, the tenge.
