Adriaan Bakker is a Treasury and Liquidity Management professional with extensive experience in global banking operations, liquidity management, payments infrastructure, and treasury transformation.
He is currently Product Lead Treasury at Triodos Bank, The Netherlands, where he focuses on developing and enhancing treasury solutions that support operational resilience, efficiency, and effective liquidity management.
Previously, Adriaan spent over a decade at ING Bank, where he held various roles across treasury and liquidity management, leading global process design, strategic initiatives, liquidity centralization projects, financial market infrastructure (FMI) integration, and digital transformation programmes.
A highlight of his career was his contribution to securing USD 60 million in Series A funding for Fnality International, an initiative focused on shaping the future of payments infrastructure for banks and corporates. He played a key role in developing regulated distributed Financial Market Infrastructures (dFMIs) designed to enable instant settlement and greater transparency in financial markets.
Throughout his career, Adriaan has worked across London, Amsterdam, and Manila, combining deep treasury expertise with a strong focus on innovation, technology adoption, and operational excellence in global banking environments.
