Chief Risk Officer (CRO)
Timofey Kostin is a Chief Risk Officer with experience across international markets, including Europe, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East, and the CIS. He currently serves as Chief Risk Officer at UnaFinancial in Dubai, where he is responsible for shaping the group’s risk strategy and building a strong risk culture at the corporate level.
His career has been built around risk management, analytics, and the implementation of data-driven solutions. Over the years, he has worked across banking and fintech, combining leadership roles with hands-on involvement in analytics and technology. Before joining UnaFinancial, he served as Chief Risk Officer at WebBankir. Prior to that, he led risk functions for European and Latin American operations at ID Finance, where he was also a member of the executive committee and responsible for financial performance.
His time at Experian added an international dimension to his profile. As an International Business Consultant, he supported the company’s growth in Russia, Kazakhstan, and across the CIS, working at the intersection of analytics, data, and commercial strategy. Earlier, at National Bank Trust, he held senior roles within the risk function, including Chief Risk Officer, overseeing retail and SME risk, as well as analytics and collections strategies.
At VTB24 Timofey served as Deputy Chief Risk Officer, with responsibility for analytics, forecasting, stress testing, credit processes, and data warehouse development. Earlier in his career, he worked at SAS Institute and MTS, focusing on CRM analytics, customer segmentation, churn prediction, and the implementation of analytical platforms.
Today, his work is focused on building risk functions grounded in data and closely aligned with business objectives, enabling companies to make more precise decisions and manage growth across different jurisdictions.
