Head of ALM and Pricing
Andrea Ciaparrone is the Head of Asset and Liability Management (ALM) and Pricing at UniCredit Group, based in Milan. With over 20 years of experience in financial management, balance-sheet strategy, and risk governance, he has played a central role in shaping the Group’s ALM, funding, and internal pricing frameworks across multiple European entities.
Since 2021, Andrea has been leading Group ALM and Pricing, overseeing interest rate risk management, liquidity planning, behavioral modeling, and transfer pricing strategy. His work ensures the effective alignment of funding, profitability, and capital optimization across UniCredit’s diverse balance sheet structure.
Previously, Andrea served as Head of ALM and Financial Planning at HypoVereinsbank (UniCredit Bank AG, Germany), where he directed the coordination of ALM policy, financial forecasts, and stress-testing models within the Group’s European perimeter. Before that, he headed ALM and Fund Transfer Price Strategy at UniCredit Italy, leading the development of the Group-wide FTP framework and managing key initiatives in interest rate and liquidity risk.
Andrea began his career as a business consultant at PwC Advisory, specializing in credit risk, Basel II implementation, and financial modeling. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business and Finance from the University of Perugia and studied Financial Mathematics at the University of Sheffield (UK) under the Erasmus program.
